BA (Psychology), Adv.Dip. Humanistic Integrative Counselling, MBACP, Chartered MCIPD.
I have extensive experience from working for over 30 years within HR, Recruitment and Training & Development for FTSE 500 companies. I also set up my own Management Consultancy business in 1994.
I know all about the pressures of working in the City while bringing up a family. In fact it was my own experience of life in the corporate world which made me want to train as a therapist, helping others with work-related stress and anxiety, knowing from personal experience how this impacts on your personal life, your friends and family.
In addition to my private counselling practice and corporate work, I am also a course tutor for the Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Counselling at the CPPD Counselling training centre in London. In addition, I have volunteered for a number of years at a North London hospice, counselling the bereaved. I have also volunteered at a counselling charity, helping people with various difficulties, including anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship issues and challenges within the work environment.
I am a fully qualified therapist and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. As such I am bound by its Ethical Framework for Counselling Practice and in particular its’ strict rules about confidentiality.
I offer an integrative approach, which means I can draw from a diverse range of therapies and interventions, enabling me to work individually with each client to help them better understand and work through the difficulties they are having, so they can more readily achieve their personal and professional goals.
We will work together to explore your current difficulties, looking at them through a new lens to enable you to gain more insight, helping you to have a clearer sense of who you really are and what you want out of your life, so you can find a better way forward.
I am warm and down to earth but professional, and my style is to work with you. I am curious and sometimes challenging, but always supportive and non judgemental.
As they say, "if not now when", so if you are looking for professional support to help you through a difficult time then call for a chat and let’s see where it takes us.
