Resilience can be developed in people of all ages. By becoming more aware of your strengths and personal resources you can become more resilient, so you can work through personal and professional challenges in a more positive and productive way. Being more resilient will also help protect you from certain conditions such as depression, anxiety and PTSD.
In this workshop we will look at what resilience is, what it isn’t, and how you can build it. By sharing different strategies and interventions, as well as hints and tips on how to become more resilient, you will learn to cope better with what life throws at you, enabling you to recover more quickly from challenges and setbacks.
The aim of this workshop is to not just teach you how to bounce back from adversity, but to bounce forwards.
Managing Stress & Anxiety Training
Stress and anxiety are common, normal feelings that many of us will have at some point in our lives. Stress is the result of an imbalance between the demands placed on us and our perceived ability to cope with these demands. Anxiety and stress are not negative all of the time, and in small doses they can help us perform better.
In this workshop we will help you to better understand the causes and triggers of anxiety and the range of symptoms you may experience, both mentally and physically. By sharing different strategies and stress management techniques, as well as useful hints and tips, we will help you to better manage feelings of stress and anxiety. In addition, we will also help you look at how negative thinking patterns may be undermining your ability to harness your inner strengths and personal resources.
